About Us

Founded in 1956, and currently with more than 150 members who are active in general amateur radio, FLARC is North Jersey’s largest amateur radio club. Special interest groups within the club are dedicated to an expanding range of topics, including Monitoring, Digital Modes, Digital Voice, DX, Portable Ops/POTA and Satellite. Over the past year we administered over 200 amateur radio tests despite the pandemic. We were the first amateur radio club in the United States to implement a dedicated, daily Health and Welfare Net on our 2m repeater, W2NPT, to keep members and friends abreast of COVID-19 issues and their impact on our lives.
